A large indigo resist-dyed, heavy cotton stripweave from Mali. Each strip is handwoven on a narrow loom and then hand-sewn together to make a larger cloth.
This cloth has two raw ends. This piece could be repurposed as an interior textile for example as a wall hanging or more practically a throw, or a coverlet for a bed. Indigo is a fugitive dye so please take care with placing it alongside lighter coloured fabrics and when washing.
This cloth is vintage and has two minor repairs consistent with use.
